Shoulder holsters are most useful when you spend a lot of time sitting, driving, or wearing a jacket. They keep the weight off the belt line and make access easier when a waistband holster is covered or pressed into a seat.
Why does a shoulder holster feel awkward at first?
Usually the harness is not adjusted yet. A good fit should sit flat, hold the holster steady, and avoid pulling one side down. Many people need a few small strap adjustments before it stops shifting.
Should I buy a horizontal or vertical shoulder holster?
Horizontal rigs usually feel quicker with compact and mid-size pistols. Vertical rigs keep longer barrels closer to the body and can feel cleaner under a coat. The firearm size and your cover garment matter more than the label.
Can a shoulder holster work in warm weather?
