Between the layers of leather, the holster incorporates a reinforced polymer spine. This internal support structure adds rigidity to the holster body while remaining completely separated from the firearm. Because the polymer is embedded between the leather layers, the firearm remains in contact only with leather surfaces.

The holster includes a raised protective backing that acts as a barrier between the firearm and the body. This helps improve comfort during extended wear and helps prevent the firearm from rubbing directly against clothing or skin.

A double ply leather backing further strengthens the holster and helps maintain its shape over time. This layered construction helps ensure the holster remains non collapsible, allowing the firearm to be reholstered more easily compared with softer holster designs.
